Rathfinny Wine Estate was established in 2010 near Alfriston in the South Downs of Sussex with the express intention of producing some of the world’s best sparkling wine.
Rathfinny occupies a perfect south-facing slope, just three miles from the sea, and its climate, chalk soils and aspect make it probably the most perfect place to produce wine in a region that is already producing some of the best, award winning English sparkling wines.
The Rathfinny Wine Estate Vineyard will develop to become one of the largest single vineyards in England and one of the largest in Europe. The RIBA nominated, state-of-the-art Winery is capable of producing over one million bottles of Sussex Sparkling wine annually, with a commitment to quality that will see their Sussex sparkling wine winning international awards and being enjoyed all over the world. Rathfinny Estate Blanc de Noirs 2015
The Blanc de Noirs 2015 is the first vintage of Rathfinny Estate’s premium Pinot Noir/Pinot Meunier blend, produced from grapes grown and hand-harvested on Rathfinny Wine Estate.
An enticing blush sets the scene for perfumed peony and wild strawberry on the nose, while on the palate, its rich mousse of raspberries and toasted almonds gives way to a caramelised red-apple finish.
Rathfinny Estate Rosé Brut 2016
Rathfinny Rosé Brut 2016 is the second vintage of this popular sparkling wine, with an expressive red-fruit style that beautifully showcases the increased presence of Pinot Noir within the blend.
Vivid coral in hue, Rathfinny Rosé has a lifted nose of wild strawberries and mandarin zest, giving way to a rich mousse of Rainier cherries and candied red apple skin, and a silky, strawberry shortcake finish.
