Jackson Estate Grey Ghost Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough
Produced from the Grey Ghost vineyard which takes its name from the towering Grey Gum tree that was planted at the homestead over 140 years ago, this Sauvignon Blanc was partially fermented in French oak barrels, and aged on its lees, delivering exceptional flavour and texture. Strong aromas of gooseberry, gunflint and blackcurrant lead to a rich and focused palate dominated by ripe yellow fruit with a mineral edge, all bound by a long and savoury finish.
Jackson Estate Shelter Belt Chardonnay, Marlborough
This wine is an expression of a single site, and is named after a large shelter belt of trees separating the grounds of the Jackson Estate homestead from the vineyard. Bright citrus fruit and spice together with waves of savoury aromatics flow to a generously fruited and finely textured palate. A lovely core of ripe acidity lends the wine balance and length, and frames the wonderful fruit purity.
Jackson Estate Vintage Widow Pinot Noir, Marlborough
Vintage Widow is so named after the families who are often forgotten at vintage time as the workers strive to make the perfect bottle of Pinot Noir. Black forest fruits and red cherry dominate the aromas, interwoven with subtle dried herb and cinnamon spice. Well ripened tannins and acidity frame a densely fruited and textured palate, full of lush pinot fruit with a whisper of barrel smoke.
