Grapes for Blauer Zweigelt Terrassen were carefully hand-picked from different small vineyards throughout the Wachau valley. A major part of the grapes originates from the villages of Weissenkirchen, Wösendorf and Joching. These wines are medium ruby red with intense purple highlights. Fruit-driven aromas of wild strawberry, blackberry are accompanied by forest soil, hints of clove and black pepper fragrances. The palate is medium-bodied and elegant.

Domäne Wachau Grüner Veltliner Federspiel Terrassen

Grüner Veltliner is Austria’s most important grape variety and at Domäne Wachau over 50% of production is Grüner Veltliner, vinified in a range of styles.

There is no wine more versatile at the table. Distinctive aromas of green apple, white pepper, hints of mango, balanced with delicate herbal notes. This Federspiel is a traditional example of Grüner Veltliner with its medium-body crisp acidity, juicy fruits and white spice on the finish.

The best grapes from different small terraced vineyards between Loiben and Spitz were hand-picked for this premium blend. Open and approachable on the nose, highlighted by ripe apple, white pepper and underlined by delicate citrus notes with a touch of smoky tobacco. On the palate beautifully balanced with a crisp acidity which results in an elegant and powerful body, juicy exotic fruit flavours, plenty of spices and dry herbs dominate the palate.

Domäne Wachau Riesling Federspiel Terrassen

Grapes from different small terraced vineyard plots were carefully handpicked for this wine. The majority of the grapes come from the vineyards surrounding Spitz, Dürnstein and Weissenkirchen. Present and pronounced on the nose this wine displays stone fruit, delicate lime, and hints of ripe pear. On the palate there are flavours of juicy white peach and subtle hints of apricot.
