Vinas del Vero Secastilla Range

The Secastilla valley, high in the foothills of the Pyrenees,
is a hidden gem, with old Garnacha bush vines producing
outstanding wines of exceptional intensity and character.
Discovered by chance by our winemaker, the vineyard was
tended for many years by an old man and his wife, Miranda.
The breathtaking beauty of this stony, inhospitable vineyard
surrounded by the snow capped Pyrenees casts a magical
spell over every visitor.

Viñas del Vero Secastilla, Old Vine Garnacha, DO Somontano

Made from ancient bush vines, this is a unique and outstanding wine, quite different from the usual style of Somontano. Complex, earthy and spicy Garnacha fruit
dominates the nose, followed by a rich and dense
palate with intense fruit and balancing tannins and a
long and powerful finish, enhanced by ageing in
French Allier oak for ten months.

Viñas del Vero La Miranda de Secastilla Garnacha Blanca, DO Somontano

After hand picking the Garnacha Blanca grapes, a speciality of the area, the wine was fermented in French oak barrels and then matured for a further 4 months, to produce a highly aromatic wine with great citrus fruit on the nose, combined with
a soft creamy palate and a crisp fresh finish.

La Miranda Garnacha Blanca 2013
