Jackson Estates latest project is nearly ready – a new winery devoted almost entirely to Pinot Noir. This noble grape variety has been a big focus for our Kiwi friends over the last 10 years, creating spectacular wines such as their hand-crafted Vintage Widow and Gum Emperor Pinot Noir which we’re very proud to have in our portfolio.
As modern pioneers, Jackson Estate has always combined advanced winemaking techniques with an old worlds hand on approach to produce beautiful wines with longevity, elegance and finesse. The boutique new winery will give Head Winemaker Matt Patterson-Green and his team a base so they can continue to craft small batch premium quality wines.
The new winery on Jacksons Road in Marlborough will play host to the wineries first ever cellar door. Visitors may also notice a uniqueness to the building with quirky twists around the place as Art Director for The Hobbit trilogy, Brian Massey was enlisted to help design the building.
Final touches are still to be completed but the winery will be ready in time for the 2017 vintage with the cellar door opening later in the year. For more information about Jackson Estate visit their website or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
