Gonzalez Byass winemaking has been recognised in the prestigious WAWWJ (World Association of Writers & Journalists of Wine & Spirits) annual ranking to find the 2016 “Best 100 Wineries”. Our family owned winery in Jerez has been awarded fifth place, and was the highest placed Spanish winery in the world.
In addition, our Gonzalez Byass Noe Pedro Ximénez VORS is ranked third in WAWWJ’s “Best 100 Wines in the World”. The wonderful Beronia Rioja Reserva 2010 also placed highly, coming 20th in the Top 100. Also amongst the mix was Gonzalez Byass Apostoles Palo Cortado (41st), Beronia Rioja Gran Reserva 2008 (76th) and Gonzalez Byass Tres Palmas (83rd).
Overall, 2016 has been a fantastic year for Gonzalez Byass with a host of accolades received in some of the most respected wine competitions in the world including outstanding results in International Wine Challenge and Decanter World Wine Awards earlier this year.
